Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about running your league on Slatvo.

Getting Started

What is Slatvo?

Slatvo is software for running a recreational sports league: schedules, rosters, standings, and instant SMS/email alerts to parents when a game changes.

How much does Slatvo cost?

Slatvo has a free plan for one league and up to 8 teams. Paid plans start at $29/month for more leagues, teams, and SMS notifications. See the pricing section on the homepage for full details.

How do I start a league?

Create a free account, add your league and season, invite coaches, and add teams and rosters. Most operators are fully set up in under 15 minutes.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

No. The Free plan requires no credit card. You only enter billing details if you upgrade to a paid plan.

Can I try Slatvo before committing?

Yes, the Free plan is free forever for a single small league, so you can fully test the product before upgrading.

Scheduling

How do I build a season schedule?

Use the Schedule Builder to add games one at a time, import a full schedule from a CSV file, or let the AI Schedule Generator draft one based on your teams and constraints.

Does Slatvo catch double-bookings?

Yes. When you schedule a game at a venue and field that is already booked for that time, Slatvo flags the conflict before you save.

Can I generate a playoff bracket?

Yes. The Schedule Builder includes a single-elimination bracket generator that seeds teams by current standings and creates the Round 1 games automatically.

Can coaches see the schedule without an account?

Coaches log into the coach portal to manage their team. Parents view the schedule through a no-login link, the parent portal.

Can I import my existing schedule from a spreadsheet?

Yes. The Schedule Builder accepts a CSV with date, time, home team, away team, venue, and field columns.

Notifications & Alerts

How do parents get notified about a cancelled game?

When you mark a game cancelled or delayed, Slatvo immediately sends an SMS text and email to every parent contact on the affected teams.

What if a parent does not have a smartphone?

Notifications also go out by email, and the parent portal link works in any mobile or desktop browser, no app required.

Can I message just one team instead of the whole league?

Yes. The Notifications Center lets you target a single team, all teams affected by a specific game, or the entire league.

How many text messages am I allowed to send?

SMS allowances depend on your plan: the Free plan is email-only, Pro includes 500 SMS+email sends per month, and Unlimited includes 2,000.

Who provides the SMS delivery?

Slatvo sends SMS through Telnyx, a business texting provider, so messages are delivered reliably and quickly.

Parents & Teams

Do parents need to create an account?

No. Every team gets a private link that shows the schedule, results, and standings. Parents just open the link, nothing to sign up for.

Can parents get push notifications?

Yes, if enabled by the league, parents can turn on browser push notifications from the parent portal for instant alerts.

How do I find my team's link?

Your league operator or coach shares the parent portal link directly, often by text or email at the start of the season.

Can coaches message parents directly?

Yes. Coaches can message their own team's parents from the coach portal without needing the league operator to do it for them.

What if I lose the team link?

Ask your coach or league operator to resend it. Operators can also regenerate the link if needed, which deactivates the old one.

Pricing & Plans

What is included in the Free plan?

1 league, up to 8 teams, the parent portal, and email notifications, with a small Slatvo watermark on public pages.

What is the difference between monthly and season billing?

Monthly billing renews every month. Season billing is a single one-time payment that covers your league for about 120 days, ideal for a single season.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, there is no contract. Cancel or downgrade from your billing settings whenever you want.

What does white-labeling include?

On the Unlimited plan, you can replace Slatvo branding with your own logo and colors on parent-facing pages.

Do you offer discounts for nonprofits or churches?

Contact us for volume or nonprofit pricing if you are running multiple leagues through a church, YMCA, or city recreation department.

Sports & Leagues

What sports does Slatvo support?

Any recreational sport: flag football, basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball, and more. The sport is just a label, the tools work the same for all of them.

Can I run more than one sport at a time?

Yes. Create a separate league for each sport under the same account, each with its own seasons, teams, and schedules.

What is the difference between a league and a season?

A league is the ongoing program (e.g. "Spring Flag Football"). A season is a specific time period within it (e.g. "Spring 2026"), with its own schedule and standings.

Can I organize teams into divisions?

Yes. Each season supports divisions like "Co-ed" or "Men's Open" so standings and schedules can be grouped correctly.

Is Slatvo good for adult leagues too?

Yes. Slatvo works equally well for youth leagues and adult recreational leagues.

Technical

Is Slatvo a mobile app?

Slatvo works as a website and can also be installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on a phone home screen for an app-like experience.

Does Slatvo work offline?

The parent portal caches your last-viewed schedule so it is still viewable with no connection, though live updates require internet access.

Is my league's data secure?

Yes. Slatvo uses encrypted connections (HTTPS) throughout and stores data on secure, access-controlled infrastructure.

Can I export my roster or schedule data?

CSV import is supported today for rosters and schedules; contact support if you need a data export for a specific use case.

What browsers does Slatvo support?

Slatvo works in all modern browsers, including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, on both desktop and mobile.
